A Lexan sheet can be cut, sawed, drilled , milled, and bent easily using standard workshop equipment without the risk of cracking and breaking . Also, Lexan sheets can be easily thermoformed into complex parts while retaining its excellent properties necessary for demanding applications . A Lexan sheet may be decorated using a wide variety of modern techniques such as painting and screen printing.
Lexan is a durable material. It has high impact-resistance, and has low scratch-resistance. The characteristics of polycarbonate are quite like those of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA, acrylic), but Lexan is stronger and usable over a greater temperature range. Lexan is highly transparent to visible light, with better light transmission than many kinds of glass.
Lexan has a glass transition temperature of about 147 °C (297 °F), so it softens gradually above this point and flows above about 155 °C (311 °F).
Polycarbonate possesses extraordinarily good dimensional stability with a high impact strength which is maintained over a wide temperature range.

These videos show how bullet proof lexan is and displays how strong and touch it is.
